We’re pleased to be hosting RDF26 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for the first time. As one of the UK’s largest conference hotels, it offers the scale and flexibility needed for an event of this size. Located on the NEC complex, the hotel benefits from excellent transport connections, with Birmingham International rail station and airport just minutes away.

The Hilton provides a wide range of purpose-built meeting spaces alongside comfortable areas for networking, making it an excellent setting for our programme of presentations, posters, and discussions. Its central location and on-site amenities also ensure a convenient and welcoming base for delegates joining us from across the four nations.

Getting to the Birmingham Hilton Metropole

The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is well connected by road, rail, and air, making it straightforward for delegates travelling from across the UK and further afield. Whether you arrive by train, car, or via Birmingham Airport, the hotel is just minutes from major transport hubs, with clear onward connections to the venue itself.

By Train

The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is located on the NEC complex, just a short distance from Birmingham International Station. The station is directly connected to the NEC by a covered walkway, and from there the hotel is around a 10–15 minute walk. A free shuttle bus service also runs regularly between the station and the hotel. Birmingham New Street Station in the city centre is only 15 minutes away by direct train.
By Car

The hotel is easily accessible by road and is close to both the M6 (Junction 4) and M42 (Junction 6) motorways. Follow signs for the NEC and then for the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. On-site car parking is available at the hotel (charges apply). Please allow extra time if travelling during peak hours.
By Air

The hotel is just five minutes from Birmingham Airport (BHX), which offers a direct flight to Belfast, NI. A free monorail service connects the airport to Birmingham International Station, from where you can walk or take the hotel shuttle. Taxis are also available and the journey takes around five minutes.
Parking Information

Car parking is subject to availability, overflow car parking will be on NEC car parks. A charge will apply in both circumstances.

Day Rate (8 hours) is £22.00 inc VAT per car.

Overnight residents are charged at £16.00 inc VAT per night.

Charges on the NEC Car Park are out of the hotels control.

Overflow Hotel Information: MOXY BIRMINGHAM NEC

Due to the high demand of RDF26 Registration, the RDF Conference accommodation has been expanded from the Birmingham Hilton Metropole to also include rooms at the nearby Moxy Birmingham NEC.

All attendees will receive details of hotel accommodation closer to the event, when official booking details are shared via email.

The MOXY Birmingham NEC is conveniently located within the NEC complex, offering excellent access by road, rail, and air. Its close proximity to Birmingham International transport links makes it an easy and efficient choice for delegates travelling from across the UK.

By Train

The hotel is just a short walk from Birmingham International Station, which is directly connected to the NEC via a covered walkway. From the station, MOXY Birmingham NEC can be reached in approximately 5–10 minutes on foot. Birmingham New Street Station in the city centre is around 10–15 minutes away by direct train.
By Car

MOXY Birmingham NEC is easily accessible via the M6 (Junction 4) and M42 (Junction 6), following signs for the NEC. The hotel does not have its own dedicated car park; guests should use the nearby NEC car parks, which are within walking distance. Charges apply and are managed by the NEC.
By Air

The hotel is located just minutes from Birmingham Airport (BHX). A free Air-Rail Link monorail connects the airport to Birmingham International Station in around two minutes. From there, the hotel is a short walk. Taxis are also readily available, with a journey time of approximately 5 minutes.
