Clinical Trial Participant, SCRATCH-HTN Trial, Barts NHS Trust
Dean is a clinical trial participant from the SCRATCH-HTN trial at Barts, run by the William Harvey Heart team. He self-referred onto the trial after proactively researching options beyond his immediate care pathway — something that surprised his clinical team.
With a background in tech and product, he brings a patient perspective on how curiosity, self-advocacy, and collaboration between patients and clinicians can unlock better outcomes for everyone involved. He is currently studying and pivoting his career more deeply into healthcare and health-tech.
