Clara Yates
Associate Director of Research and Innovation, NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB
Clara is Associate Director of Research and Innovation at NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB. She provides strategic leadership to drive and embed a culture of research, innovation and continuous improvement across the Integrated Care System.
Clara leads a team who focus on supporting innovation, research design, development and core R&D functions for primary care, community care and wider care settings, with the ICB hosting 11 NIHR grants totalling £17million. The team also includes the Evidence and Evaluation Hub, hosts the ICS Quality Faculty and is the first ICB to be part of the NHSE Innovation Sites project, working with Health Innovation East. Clara also co-chairs the R&D Forum ICB Research Leads Working Group.
Clara has worked in NHS research for 11 years and prior to that carried out post-doctoral research into chronic inflammatory disease at the University of Birmingham.
