David Brownlee
Innovation Advisor, Health & Social Care Innovations
Dr Brownlee is experienced in R&D, innovation, intellectual property, negotiating clinical trial agreements and R&D contracts, knowledge exchange and commercialization (KEC), collaboration and partnerships, patents, licensing and research design.
Within the KEC arena, David is involved in all aspects of the innovation process, as well as strategic management of technology portfolios. His interests include intellectual asset management, research translation, assessing value (savings) of the introduction of healthcare technologies, technology management and innovation strategies and processes.
He has served on the Life and Health Sciences Horizon Panel of MATRIX (the Northern Ireland Science Industry Panel that advises Government on the commercial exploitation of R&D and science and technology). Currently on the Health Research Authority (HRA) UK Four Nations Contracting Leads Group for model agreements, R&D Charity Funders steering committee, and various assessment panels including NIHR i4i, Knowledge Exc
