Gill Robson

GCP Quality Assurance Manager/Chair of Research Practice Group, Research Quality Association: Research Practice Group; Newcastle Joint Research Office

I began my career as a Pharmacy Technician, specialising in aseptic dispensing and then progressing into pharmaceutical manufacturing within the NHS, so my background is primarily GMP, with GCP and GDP. I was the Operations Manager of the Pharmacy Production Unit and Newcastle Specials based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The unit also held a licence for manufacture of IMP. I was also the Responsible Person for our receipt and distribution activities (WDA(H) under both GMP and GDP.
In 2017 I took on the role of GCP Quality Assurance Manager with the Newcastle Joint Research Office (a collaboration between the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University) managing the quality management system including the annual audit plan (sampling from all of our portfolio).
In 2020 I qualified as an RQAP-GCP and I am a Committee member of RQA Northern Regional Forum and Member of SQA
