Hamdi Hamzah

Research and Evaluation Coordinator, NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board

Hamdi is a researcher with nearly eight years of experience across management consulting and human resource development, including three years in the NHS. He specialises in integrating evidence-based practice into strategic commissioning and service improvement, and helping to shape an evidence-based culture in the ICB. He has a strong background in evidence synthesis and mixed-methods evaluation to deliver robust, actionable insights for NHS commissioners. Hamdi has conducted a range of national and regional evaluations, including projects on prostate cancer case finding, adult autism health checks, and temporary staffing behavioural insights. He also works closely with local, place-based delivery teams and authorities, supporting them with research and evaluation queries and co-producing approaches with delivery partners such as NIHR ARC. Hamdi also designs and delivers training on evidence use and evaluations, helping to build capability across the region.
