Hazel Carter Public Speaker and Author
Hazel Carter was a director of a financial planning business when she gave up her career to care for her husband when he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
After her husband died, in 2019, Hazel decided to use her experience to help others and create change. She is a now a regular public speaker on behalf of caregivers, people with motor neurone disease and the hospice movement, to audiences all around the UK.
In 2023 Hazel self published her not for profit book, “Life’s Good, It’s the Disease That’s the Problem” (https://lifesgoodbook.co.uk) for which she won Inspirational Author award from Ladies First Professional network. Over 1200 copies have been purchased to date. Hazel gives all proceeds to charity and has raised over £15,000 so far. In addition to being an author and highly rated public speaker, Hazel is a Trustee on the board of the MND Association and a volunteer for Marie Curie.
In 2022 she donated a kidney to save the life of her brother.
