Matt Westmore Health Research Authority
Matt Westmore (he/him) is Chief Executive of the Health Research Authority (HRA) and adjunct professor at the University of Southampton. HRA’s mission is to make it easy to do research that people can trust. We work in partnership with people and other organisations to support and regulate health and social care research, and is an independent arm’s length body of the Department of Health and Social Care. Matt joined as HRA’s Chief Executive in February 2021 having previously worked for many years in and around the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
